LDM®-Tech is a non-invasive technology that treats skin problems in the dermis and epidermis. It utilizes ultrasonic energy at significantly higher frequencies making it able to accelerate a strong micro-massage effect on tissue structures.
This micro-massage activates fibroblasts and improves skin structure, increases tissue elasticity, as well as tightens connective skin tissues. Most importantly, it enhances collagen cross-linking and improves pH changes in the skin.
LDM® also known as Local Dynamic Micromassage, is based on rapid ultrasonic frequency oscillations of 100 to 1000 times per second. Usually, aesthetic treatments focus on generation processes in connective tissue equilibrium.
Findings increasingly emphasize the importance of the degradation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). MMPs appears to be involved in connective tissue metabolic disorders resulting in various skin conditions such as Acne, Eczemas, Dermatitis, Chronic ulcers, etc, and may be involved in skin aging. In acne prone skin for example, the MMP-1 values can be 500 to 1000 times above normal levels. Therapeutics procedures such as LDM, exert an inhibitory effect on MMPs, thus reducing the damaging effect of these substances on tissues, and returns skin back to its normal collagen metabolism state.
In addition, LDM Is able to increase the reproduction capabilities of HSPs (Heat Shock Proteins). This aids in building skin immunity and strengthens its ability. HSPs are a family of proteins that are produced to help the skin combat stressful conditions such as exposure to extreme temperatures, sun exposure, etc.
LDM is able to increase the moisture content in skin and accelerate its metabolism. By increasing skin turgor, it effectively improves skin texture, skin tone and reinforces the skin immunity barrier.
Skin appearance is seen immediately post the first session. Depending on the severity of the skin condition and the client’s age, LDM could be recommended twice per week for 4-6 weeks before entering a maintenance mode of once every 2-3 months.
As support for aesthetic-plastic surgery procedures, LDM is recommended 1-2 times before surgery and 2-3 times post-surgery.
